Description
Terra d'Oro Winery was designed for Trinchero Family Estates as a 60,000sf multi-phased replacement for the
existing winery located in the Sierra foothills.
The project was created to serve as the flagship winery in the Gold Country that reflects the one hundred year
winemaking of the region.
The winery walls were constructed in concrete-tilt-up for durability and thermal mass.
The exterior facade is clad with rigid insulation and board on board cedar siding.
The fieldstone wainscot, 18' high custom barrel room doors and the weathered metal roof complete the rustic
vernacular.
The facility includes Barrel Storage, Blending Cellar, Crush Area, Fermentation Cellar and
Hospitality Observation Mezzanine.
Since the completion of the winery Robert Moore Architect has also designed a new commercial catering kitchen for the
winery.
